Lately, the word support has returned to me again and again.
For a long time, I believed I was mostly searching for freedom.
But I’ve come to understand that freedom doesn’t stand alone.

It rests on something.

Support — not only from others, but from within.
The quiet decision to meet ourselves with steadiness.
To care for the body.
To respond to our own needs with respect.

This painting grew from that shift.
