What is your return policy?
I want you to feel confident and calm about your purchase.
Original artwork:
You can return original paintings within 30 days of receiving them, as long as the piece is in the same condition you received it and in its original packaging. If you need to start a return, you can contact me at mail@idakopperud.art, and I’ll send you instructions and a return shipping label.
Please note: originals purchased on sale or with a discount are not eligible for return.
Canvas prints:
Because each print is made to order especially for you, custom prints cannot be returned.
If you receive something that is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, please get in touch right away — I’ll help make it right.

How often do you release new work?
I don’t release new work on a fixed schedule.
Instead, I prefer to launch new paintings and prints in small collections or batches, when the work feels ready.
How often this happens can vary, as it depends on both the creative process and life around it.
The best way to stay updated on new releases is to be part of my email list. Subscribers are always the first to hear about new work, upcoming collections, and special releases.
Do you offer flexible payments?
Yes. I offer Klarna as a payment option, which you can choose at checkout.
This allows you to split your payment or pay later, so you can decide in a way that feels comfortable for you.
Do you offer bespoke commissions?
No, I don’t offer commissioned work.
For me, painting requires an open and intuitive process. I need to allow the work to develop freely, without a fixed outcome in mind. When I try to consciously steer a painting in a specific direction or toward a predefined result, it no longer feels true — and the work doesn’t become what it needs to be.
The pieces I offer are created through this open process, and they’re finished when they feel complete and balanced to me. That freedom is essential to the quality and presence of the work you see.
Where are the prints produced and shipped from?
To keep both delivery times and environmental impact as low as possible, my canvas prints are produced and shipped from the printer closest to you.
- Norway:

Can I visit your studio and see the artwork in person before deciding?
Yes, you’re very welcome to visit.
I don’t have a gallery or a shop with regular opening hours. Instead, I work from my studio at the small farm where I live with my family.
Because of this, studio visits are possible by appointment only.
If you’d like to come by and see the artwork in person, just get in touch and we’ll find a time that works for both of us.
What’s the difference between an original painting and a canvas print?
An original painting is a one-of-a-kind artwork, painted by hand and created as a single, unique piece. Originals carry the full physical presence of the painting process — texture, layers, and subtle variations that can only exist in one version.
A canvas print is a high-quality reproduction of one of my original paintings, printed on canvas and ready to hang. The colors, composition, and feeling of the original work are carefully preserved, allowing more people to live with the artwork in their own homes.
Many collectors choose to begin with a canvas print. It’s a more accessible way to experience how the artwork feels in your space — your light, your walls, your everyday life — without making a large commitment right away.
Both originals and prints are created to offer grounding, openness, and quiet support. The difference is not in intention or care, but in uniqueness, scale, and accessibility.
What materials are the canvas prints made of?
My canvas prints are produced using museum-quality giclée printing on archival-grade canvas, designed to last for many years.
The canvas material is a durable cotton–polyester blend, with a beautiful matte/satin finish that highlights colour depth and texture without glare.
Because the canvas is made from sustainably sourced materials and printed on demand, each piece is designed to hold rich colours and detail while also resisting scratch, crack, and warp.
The frame is crafted from solid real wood and arrives ready to hang, with hardware included.
Do I need to pay customs or import fees?
